Jeep® vehicles to star in Medal of Honor Airborne
Electronic Arts Inc. and the Jeep® brand announced an agreement to include Jeep vehicles in the new electronic game "Medal of Honor: Airborne." Under the agreement, the classic Willys-Overland Jeep vehicle will appear in several mission sequences in the new game. "'The Medal of Honor Airborne' experience begins with unprecedented freedom of approach from the air. With the addition of the Willys Jeep, that freedom continues on the ground, on road and off, and in combat scenarios of all types," Patrick Gilmore, vice president and executive producer at EALA explained. "This is the first time in any 'Medal of Honor' game that a player will have the ability to drive a Willys Jeep, and we're very excited to see this new addition increase the fun and intensity of the gameplay." "Medal of Honor: Airborne" is the latest installment of the WWII shooter franchise that debuted in 1999. Airborne allows players to decide where missions begin and how they play out. More than 350,000 Willys Jeep vehicles were built during WWII and were used to track the enemy, exchange information and move troops. "Video games are quickly becoming the medium of choice for a new generation of consumers, and Chrysler Group has been at the forefront of this exciting revolution," Jay Kuhnie, Director—Jeep Communications, said. "By teaming with Electronic Arts and "Medal of Honor: Airborne," Jeep is celebrating its history while helping to take this medium to its next level."
