Mendas, Brushot, lo siento de veras. A veces una no se da cuenta y piensas que todo el mundo entiende lo mismo que tu cuando no es asi. Es un olvido pero no creo que pueda hablarse de falta de compañerismo en la flotilla por eso, y desde luego no creo que pueda decirse de Siurell o de mi que tenemos poco compañerismo y de verdad, que en absoluto pensamos "... y quien no sepa idiomas que se joda". Como vamos a pensar asi Brushot hombre! Que no.

Si has nacido para resolver problemas podrias quizas trabajar como "Explosive Ordenance Disposal" (que no se bien lo que es pero suena molon y peligroso). Si te interesan los "acertijos/puzzles" las matematicas, la gestion de la informacion o los ordenadores podrias trabajar como Tecnico Criptografico, Tecnico de sistemas de Informacion o Operador de Sonar (es MUY CURIOSO que dice Operador de Sonar de Superfice, para que no te lleves a engaño sobre poder servir en el Arma Submarina como dijimos unos cuantos posts mas arriba).
Termina la relacion de "oportunidades" diciendo que si quieres variedad y te apañas o te manejas bien "estando al cargo" puedes ser "Master-at-Arms", "Quatermaster" o "Controlador de Trafico Aereo".
En el siguiente parrafo dice que en la Navy tendras la oportunidad de hacer cosas chulas y divertidas si te queda tiempo, que tendras correo, electronico y normal, y acceso a ordenadores por lo que podras mantener el contacto con amigos y familiares (que te dejan llamar por telefono a casa vamos!, como ET supongo).

El eslogan final es "Si lo sueñas puedes vivirlo" (muy estilo americano pero motivador en todo caso).
La frase final ya la adelanto Siurell. Dice, copiando un lema español, que en el sol nunca se pone en la Navy pues hay bases en todo el planeta.

Vamos al fondo y no a las formas que nos perdemos.
En un pais como los USA en los que se reunen los cerebros mas brillantes del Universo con el cutrerio mas infame...la opcion de alistarse es una manera como otra cualquiera de salir de la marginacion de ciertos barrios.
Salvo en el curioso caso de la Guerra de Vietnam, presentarse en cualquier acto social o a cualquier trabajo como veterano de algun conflicto se ve como algo eminentemente positivo.
La sociedad norteamericana es tan patriotica que recuerda a sus heroes, a sus caidos y a sus veteranos en poblaciones grandes y pequeñas y de Este a Oeste del pais.
Sus militares se saben queridos y lucen sus uniformes, sus insignias, sus destinos y sus condecoraciones a todas horas.
Nos pueden parecer ridiculos los slogans de sus paginas de reclutamiento pero evidentemente no estan dirigidos a europeos acomodados sino a norteamericanos...o personas que incluso no tienen todavia la ciudadania. Pues claro que en el pais de las oportunidades el que vale no se les escapa al ejercito...lo miman, le dan beneficios sociales como colegios, la posibilidad de que sus hijos estudien carreras, pensiones, seguros sanitarios...y ese tipo de "beneficios sociales" no son algo gratuito ni facilmente accesible a muchos ciudadanos.
En fin alli si es una oportunidad de progresar. Esa pagina no miente...
