En el "leeme" del OM viene explicado el tema de los barcos neutrales. Mira el punto 5 mas abajo.
Basicamente, el SH4 original parece no detectar los barcos neutrales. El autor del mod ha preferido cambiar esto y hacer que aparezcan dichos buques como "no neutrales". Es cosa tuya identificarlos y decidir si los atacas o no. La verdad es que es mucho mas realista.
En cuanto a lo del sol, a mi no me ocurre.
Environmental 4.6 pesa 300 Mb mientras que el 4.7 solo pesa 22 Mb. Es por ello que decidi instalar uno sobre otro. El autor no es claro acerca de si el 4.7 es simplemente un parche o el mod completo. A la vista de los tamaños, deduzco que es un parche. Creo que 4.6 incluia ademas varios ficheros de ROW, lo cual puede ser otra explicacion, que 4.7 no los incluya. A mi no me han dado ningun problema juntos y los graficos son simplemente espectaculares.

It will be up to the player to determine if a ship needs to be engaged or not. During the early phases of the war these normally neutral ships will remain unarmed. Also from review of the records, Uboat captains sink supposed “neutrals” during their early combat patrols
6.Have created within the limitations of SH4 game engine a semi-historically recreation of the shipping / convoy lanes used during WWII. In reference to the convoys, in RSRDC, I was able to recreate with historically accuracies 1055 convoys from 1942 to 1945, however with over 3100 + convoys with 80000 + ships it is not possible to do the same in OM. Therefore all the major / minor convoys have been “generically” recreated with a correct “average” makeup of merchants and escort for the different time periods.
7.The sound for the F4F is not present. Reason: compatibility problem with other mods that use the Sh.sdl file
8.Do not select “Environmental Effects” under the Graphic Setting option. With this active you will experience a number of “ugly” graphic problems when viewing SH3 imported Subs/Ship/Aircraft models.
9.There are certain files I don't change because of mod compatibility. One of those files is command.cfg which controls the snorkel. You can make the following changes in the command.cfg to toggle the snorkel
