Dear all,

On Sunday, April 10 at 1100 US Pacific Time, Polychop and I plan do to a Youtube livestream of the Gazelle. Next week we plan to move the Gazelle into test, and we think this is a great time to start showing off the near-final product. In addition to me trying my hand at flying the Gazelle, the Polychop team will be on chat to answer Gazelle questions posted in this thread.

-The radar, optical sight, jettison system, possibility of gun firing, launching of air-to-air missiles, air-to-ground rocket firing, flare and chaff ejection are implemented into the model of the aircraft’s weapon system. All the above-mentioned items are now operating properly;

The flight model:
-operational range of altitude and speed, acceleration with various payloads and G loads (in sustained turns and at maximum angles-of-attack) are tuned basing on available information on the flight dynamics of the real aircraft; the model behavior at critical angles-of-attack (stalling) and post-stall behaviour (post-stall gyrations and spins) in general correspond to the descriptions in the real aircraft documents;
-Flight manual in Russian for the game module is developed.

In order to present this module in the Early Access version, we are to complete the following items:
-make proper adjustments of operation of certain aircraft systems (for example, to adjust pump capacity, hydraulic fluid mass-flow rates, electric grid loads, etc.);
-translate the Flight manual into English for English-speaking users. We try to take into account all our mistakes made during the development of the previous modules. At this stage quality translation and localization of the game Manual for English-speaking users is the most significant problem;
-develop the Quick Start manuals in Russian and in English based on the complete Flight manuals in both languages.

Pequeño detalle que se me habia pasado. Belsimtek F-5E Tiger II en early access para Mayo 2016, Bsk continua actualizando el manual en ingles del F-86F y se mueve hacia el release final del Mi-8.

In the meantime, Belsimtek continues to edit the F-86F Sabre English manual and prepare DCS: Mi-8MTV2 for its final release.

DCS: Bf 109 K-4 Kurfürst

We are now preparing to release the final version of DCS: Bf 109 K-4 Kurfürst. Over the last several weeks, we have been reviewing all user feedback and addressing a numbers of bugs and areas that require refinement. The creation of interactive training missions is also underway which includes all the normal procedures for engine start, taxiing, takeoff, landing and combat employment.

DCS: Spitfire LF Mk.IX

Adjustment to the flight model of the Spitfire LF Mk.IX aircraft continue. As of late, most of our testing and refinements have focused on airframe, engine and propeller parameters in references to actual tests of the World War II aircraft at our disposal at The Fighter Collection.

The flight tests carried out in the DCS World have shown that the Spitfire LF Mk.IX is a very easy and predictable aircraft to fly. An accurately implemented pneumatic system of the aircraft used for the brake and flap systems is particularly interesting. Earlier DCS World War II aircraft have not used such a system. Pilots of the DCS: Spitfire LF Mk.IX will be able to feel all the peculiarities of the pneumatics while taxiing and landing the aircraft.

DCS: Normandy 1944 Map

Development of the specially created "DCS: Normandy 1944" map for DCS World War II continues its development at a fast pace. Currently, the main effort is focused on airfields with different types of surfaces (a first for DCS World). For example: we are implementing SMT (Square Mesh Tracks) surfaces, which were widely used by the Allies for temporary airfields in Normandy following the landings. We are also developing the possibility to place airfields on the map using the Mission Editor (another first for DCS World).

DCS: World ha sido actualizado en un nuevo Update 3 siendo release, actualizando el changelog de la semana pasada, ahora hay soporte para la versión 1.5.3 del CV1 de Oculus rift.

Caucasus Map Texture DLC by Starway

This DLC is a complete retexturing of the existing DCS World Caucasus map to provide a new and improved look and feel. The objective of this DLC is not just to create more modern graphics, but to also make the map more resemble this geographic region. This has been accomplished by basing most of the textures on satellite images of the Caucasus region. Specially, the fields and grass areas much better match this region than the default map textures.

Beyond that, a great deal of time and effort has done into creating new building textures. They are high resolution now and are also based on the actual region. This is also true for the trees, surface textures beneath urban areas, and of course the mountains. These are remarkable changes to giving this map a huge level of improvement.

This DLC also contains features that are less apparent, such as: all the lua files (files for terrain configuration) has been improved, better road textures, updated noise and clutter textures, and the border textures between fields.

Caucasus Map Texture DLC by Starway Features:

– Noise/base textures in for all seasons

– Overall HD building textures for all building except airports
– Completely new field and grass textures for all seasons based on satellite images of the Caucasus region
– Volumetric tree textures for all seasons
