Tal vez a aquellos que usan ATI les vengan bien estos nuevos drivers Catalyst 5.9.

No me deja poner el link directo a la pagina, si trato de ponerlo me da error, son esas paginas multiples, de todos modos es facil llegar al driver..........hay que ir a
http://www.ati.com , de ahi a drivers and software, windows XP, Radeon y Catalyst 5.9...........
Hay que tener WXP SP2 instalado...........
Conviene bajar el de 25.2mb, con ATI Control Panel....... me recomendaron usar esta version simplificada siempre.
ya que el otro de 33.8mb con ATI Control Center requiere tener instalado el Microsoft .NET Framework que no se que coño es.......... y me han dicho que trae problemas.
Estoy haciendo primeras armas con ATI y sus drivers, ya que arme computadora nueva, asi que no los conozco muy bien.
De todos modos ya los he instalado y me funcionan bien.

Perdon por la demora en contestar, Beltza......... sucede que la computadora me tiene a mal traer desde hace varios dias, andando todo bien, de repente al reiniciarla....... chau ! muerta, y no dejar reparar windows, ni reinstalarlo, me lo ha hecho varias veces, obligandome a formatear todo y comenzar de cero, hasta que esta ultima vez no me ha dejado ni siquiera formatear el rigido........ y ahi estaba la cosa.Beltza escribió:Muchas gracias Eduardo.

Un Maxtor SATA de 200GB nuevo, esta tronado........ lamentablemente si bien lo comence a usar hace unas tres semanas, lo compre hace unos meses ahi en PC Box en madrid, pero lamentablemente no encuentro la boleta de compra.
Mala suerte, ahora estoy trabajando desde el disco "muleto".
Respondiendo tu pregunta.......... aparentemente las cosas se ven un poquito mejor, lo que se refleja en una caida de FPS leve, pero los problemas graficos siguen siendo los mismos, algunas texturas corruptas cuando la memoria esta saturada.
Realmente no hay gran diferencia.

No tengo aun mucha experiencia con ATI, estoy armando computadora nueva, yo estos los he instalado sobre una formateada a nuevo del disco duro, pero versiones anteriores las he instalado previo desinstalar los drivers viejos y me ha funcionado bien.
He usado el "Agregar y Quitar Programas", del panel de control, pero ademas hay en la instalacion del driver una utilidad de desinstalacion de ATI, creo que dentro de:
C:\Archivos de programa\ATI Technologies\UninstallAll
De todos modos creo que me andaba todo mejor con los 5.7, con los 5.9 se ve muy lindo pero me cayeron mucho los FPS.

En mi caso los que mejor me andan son los Oficiales Catalyst 5.7.

En algunos casos para hacer una instalacion buena buena... se recomienda quitar todos los drivers... reiniciar... pasar a VGA... y en modo VGA hacer una instalacion limpia desde 0.
Yo con el tema de los drivers... si hos e de ser sincero... como a verces lo hacen como los hacen... me esperare q la peña los teste un poco... acostumbra a ser lo suyo.
Y lo de la compatibilidad de targetas, normalmente lo pone por la Web de ATI, y acostumbra a haber mas de una version... una va por separado y otra todo junto (utilidades y drivers).
Pero vaya, del tema de los Catalisis, es algo q ATI a mi gusto aun no hace del todo bien, los NVIDIA salen algo mejor... pero q le vamso hacer si usamos ATI.
